We are sorry to announce that after almost three years Alex is leaving us to join the real world!
alexAlex joined our Preston store whilst studying at University in Preston and eventually worked between our Southport and Preston shops. During his time with us we received many complimentary comments from customers regarding his product knowledge and his excellent customer service skills.
Alex graduated from university last year with a degree in Police and Criminal Investigation and has secured a full time position in the financial industry.
We have attached a photograph following his graduation, we think that you will agree he scrubs up well! Alex would be the first to admit that he is more comfortable in his Trailblazers, Element T and a Microgrid Zip.
We would like to thank him for his help and support and wish him well for the future.
Directions to our shop – The city centre is easily accessed from the M6 at Junction 31, just follow the signs A59 into the city centre. The A6 and the A675 also bring you into the city centre. Jacson Street is adjacent to the Harris Library and Museum. Ample parking is available in the town centre along with excellent Park and Ride systems located at the Capitol Centre and Portway which again is well sign posted.
Welcome to Preston Phil & Jennifer Whittaker opened their second store in Preston in 2006. Southport opened in 2003. Phil runs the store with sales advisor Ryan Roberts but true to form Jennifer and Lisa take charge of the merchandising and window displays. We offer a warm invitation to come and see us, it will be great to see you.
We are located in the Miller Arcade, once a traditional Turkish Bath was modelled on the Burlington Arcade in London erected in 1896 this Grade II listed building remains, as then, an elegant Victorian Arcade, which is now home to shops, restaurants and salons. Preston is an ancient market town first documented in the domesday survey of 1086.
The store has recently re located to bigger and better premises still within the Miller Arcade.
Staff Recommendations – The Wildlife Trust has recently opened the Brockholes Wetland and Woodland Reserve – a £10m floating visitor centre at the former Brockholes Quarry, off junction 31 of the M6 at Preston, which has been transformed into a 106 hectare wetland and woodland site.
Local Knowledge – Benjamin Franklin (one of the Founding Fathers of the United States) once owned a property on the corner of Cheapside and Friargate in the city centre. A blue plaque on the wall of the building commemorates the location. Preston is the home of Sir Tom Finney who played for Preston North End and England.Preston is the home city of the animator Nick Park, the creator of Wallace and Gromit. The parents of legendary outlaw Butch Cassidy lived in Victoria Road in Preston and emigrated to escape religious persecution of their Mormon faith. Kenny Baker the actor who played R2D2 in the Star Wars films, also lives in the city. Preston is famous for Preston North End F.C. one of the founder members of the football league.

We would like to say a great big thank you to all the customers both old and new who braved the terrible weather and supported our Christmas event on Saturday. We apologize for any delays in processing sales but hopefully this gave everyone the opportunity to enjoy a glass of mulled wine a mince pie and have a chat with fellow Rohanists! We appreciate that customers have a choice of were they buy from and we are grateful for your ongoing support. We look forward to being of service to you in the not too distant future. Many thanks and best wishes. Regards. Phil, Jennifer, Lisa, Mandy and Ben
