Visit the Rohan shop and meet Karen, Suzanne, Claudia, Sharon, Lois, Meg and Nick. We can kit you out for a Safari or an afternoon walking the dog and everything in between. We’ll give you honest advice and suggest the most appropriate clothing according to your needs.

Other attractions in Woodbridge include:
Honey & Harvey, an independent coffee shop opposite Rohan and a step up from the usual high street chains.
Sutton Hoo is just the other side of the Deben from the Tide Mill and can be reached by car or on foot. The 7th Century burial mound of King Redwald discovered on the eve of World War Two and containing some stunning artefacts. A great visit for kids and adults alike. A pleasant walk from Woodbridge along the banks of the River Deben.
Woodbridge lays credible claim to The Grand Old Duke of York of nursery rhyme fame. He’d march his men down from what is now Old Barrack Road to Market Hill (neither up nor down) and from there down to the river where the troops would stand on the edge of the Tide Mill Pool (now a marina) and have target practice across the river into Ferry Cliff where musket balls are still occasionally found.
Back in Woodbridge and in need of sustenance? Try the Old Bell and Steelyard on New Street or the Anchor at the bottom of Quay Street, opposite the railway station. Both pubs are well run and friendly and have good beer and good food.

“Rohan Woodbridge customers, Mr. and Mrs. Oldfield who recently visited the Perito Moreno glacier in southern Argentina. They are pictured here standing by the shop counter and in front of the backdrop which is the very Perito Moreno glacier on which they stood. Beside them are two pictures they have given us showing them on the glacier. How cool (in several ways) is that?

Rohan Heritage

  1. Rohan Woodbridge Outdoor and Travel Clothing.
Elite is a word that gets bandied about a lot nowadays but a true elite is something special indeed.
Rohan sells the Elite Jacket for women and men. They weigh 260 and 270 grams respectively which is special indeed for a waterproof jacket that is also breathable, has fully taped seams, bellows main pockets for the easy stashing of map or a guidebook. They benefit from a pocket in a pocket that can take a mobile or a GPS unit. On top of that the hood rolls down and fixes with a strap to become the collar if it isn’t raining.

Featured this week is the Troggings Jacket. We stock them for women and men and it is made of the same fabulous material as the Troggings Trousers so many of you love so much.
With a brushed interior for warmth and an outer that is both wind and water resistant this jacket combines comfort with contemporary good looks and functionality. There is elastane in the weave so there is a stretch to the material that makes it extraordinarily comfortable to wear whether you’re shopping in town, cycling to and from work, hiking in the High Atlas or sitting on a long haul flight.
At £79 can you afford to be without one?

As we head towards better weather, warmer days and evenings and the possibility of travel to foreign climes there is the ever present possibility of becoming someone else’s lunch or supper.

Luckily at Rohan we have the answer. Insect Shield clothing which will keep mosquitoes, ticks, ants, flies, chiggers and midges at bay. Treated with a permethrin based repellent which is effective for 70 washings the clothing will ensure that while you’re having your supper you don’t become someone else’s.

We have hats, neck tubes, scarves, shirts, trousers and socks to cover you from head to foot if you so wish. Naturally they also dry quickly, have great pockets* and offer an excellent level of protection from harmful UV rays.

Can you afford to be without this protection? You can take prophylaxis for malaria but not for dengue and Lyme’s Disease from ticks has so many symptoms there is something for everyone, none of which are advantageous.

Just as important, at the moment if you buy two insect shield garments the cheaper item is 30% off.

    We’ll see you soon.

*Only the shirts and trousers have pockets, sorry.
